Neon Fanatic

This "Neon Fanatic" pattern design was completed in 2020 as a student project while I attended the Make it in Design Summer School.

For this project, I painted various acrylic black and neon-colored paint strokes on canvas paper to create abstract artwork. Then, the final canvas was scanned in at a high-resolution and brought into Adobe Photoshop. There, I created a kaleidoscope affect by the way it was duplicated and arranged which turned it into a unique pattern for the final pattern design. With the bold neon colors this produced, I imagined this as a fabric design used in active wear.

The final pattern design and mock-ups were created in Adobe Photoshop.
