Free Spirit Pattern Designs

These groovy pattern designs were completed in 2020 as a student project while attending the Make it in Design Summer School. 

For this design, the assignment was to design a 1960s/1970s pattern with bursting, vintage-inspired, bold florals, iconic geometrics and warm retro colors. The flowers were hand-drawn in Adobe Illustrator and arranged into several versions and colors for pattern designs. The bold outline on the flowers are reminiscent of the 1960-1970 time period. I imagined the patterns applied to fabric for fabric designs.

The repeat patterns squares were created in Adobe Illustrator. The fabric mock-ups were created in Adobe Photoshop.
