Garden Journal Book Cover

This "Garden Journal" book cover was created in 2018 when I participated in the Make Art That Sells: Global Talent Search. 

For this design, the assignment was to create a book cover design with the provided color-scheme and with Staghorn Ferns and Japanese Anemone. 

I imagined someone enjoying their day by spending time in their garden planting and pruning their flowers. This is what inspired me to draw the girl sitting in her garden area next to pots and plants. The Japanese Anemone are whimsical in the background to illustrate that maybe she is dreaming of how pretty the flowers she is planting will become.

The original artwork illustration was hand-drawn in Adobe Illustrator. The book mock-up was created in Adobe Photoshop.
