Garden Journal Book Cover

This "Garden Journal" book cover was created in 2018 when I participated in the Make Art That Sells: Global Talent Search. The assignment challenge we were provided with directed us with the color-scheme and to create our book covers with Staghorn Ferns and Japanese Anemone.

For this cover, I imagined someone enjoying their day by spending time in their garden planting and pruning their flowers. This is what inspired me to draw the girl sitting in her garden area next to pots and plants. The Japanese Anemone are whimsical in the background to illustrate that maybe she is dreaming of how pretty the flowers she is planting will become.

The illustration was hand-drawn in Adobe Illustrator. The mock-up was created in Adobe Photoshop.
